Let’s Start Learning Chinese Already

October 11, 2007

According to www.internationaled.org, 50,000 American students study Chinese. By contrast, 110 million Chinese students are studying English.

Whaaaaaaaah?? We are SO going to China and our kids WILL be 50,001 and 2.

Adding fuel to my fire, Newsweek’s May 9, 2007 edition, pointed out that 1 million American kids still study French.

I love France, the French and a particular Frenchman named Franck (just a friend). But c’mon Chinese is spoken by 1.3 billion people, while French is spoken by 75 million.
