Children’s Day in Thailand was this past Friday.  When I dropped WanderBoy off at school on Thursday, I understood the following things: bring ‘box’ …’50baht($1.50)’…’children’s celebration’.  I interpreted this as bring a present that costs 50 baht.

When I showed up the next day with a wrapped present to find 15 other similar gifts already stacked up, I was so proud.  Cultural divide bridged.  Minutes later riding to work, I got stuck in a traffic jam of 5-6 year olds in full make-up, tutus, and the usual Thai kid parade-wear.  It clicked:  Children’s Day.  A holiday celebrated not only at our nursery school.

Anyways, here are the pictures from the big day.  Enjoy!

Hey Wandermama! It’s nice to see wanderboy having fun at school! All the trips you are making look so exciting! I wish I could travel more. Just wanted to let you know you have another follower. It’s nice to keep in touch this way and see wanderboy and girl getting older.
