I love this place! Borderline is a cafe, shop and art gallery that I have come to frequent almost daily. They are located at 674/14 Intharakeeree Road just past the Wat.
They have beautiful handmade gifts, scarves, clothes, etc… I did my Christmas shopping here. They also have nice postcards and will mail them for you.
The cafe is my favorite restaurant in Mae Sot. See the menu here. The Tomato Salad Burmese Style and the Burmese Tea Leaf Salad are a heavenly combo. I also really like the veggie wraps. It’s all vegetarian but I doubt you would miss the meat. Such an explosion of flavor.
WanderPapa and I will take a cooking class here before we leave so that we can capture these tastes and bring them with us — which is saying alot because I hate to cook.
